The realisation that we may no longer be able to manage our lives without support is distressing for us and our families. Compound that by having to give up your family home and the sometimes inevitable loss of independence by moving into a care facility, is traumatic. We appreciate that sometimes this has to happen but knowing there is an alternative that enables you to continue living in your own home, avoiding that upheaval and receiving one to one care must come as a relief!
The thought of having a live-in carer may feel intrusive, but experience tells us that most people realise very quickly how it enhances their independence and enables them to continue living in their own home with their values, preferences and choices upheld. It means that you can feel in control of your life in familiar, comfortable surroundings where you can continue to remain part of your own community, where family and friends can visit as usual. Our carers are very skilled at not crowding or invading private space. They very quickly get to know your usual routine and how you like to live your life, continuing to enjoy your home, garden and pets. Whatever your lifestyle choices are (providing they are legal) we can continue to support and encourage that lifestyle!
At Aspen Care we can offer you excellent care at competitive prices. We have a very low turnover of staff, employ all our carers and know each of them very well. We have a robust recruitment process with an advanced, on-going DBS monitoring system and vigorous training programme. We are not a franchise, we are a small local company with a very hands-on management team.
Your enquiry will be answered by Gill or Paula, who will guide and assist you throughout your time with us at Aspen. Communication is vital, so we do not confine ourselves to office hours. Instead we are available twenty-four hours a day, 365 days a year to support you and our carer.
